Founded by Peter Giles, Giles Group Australia is a close-knit team of experienced supervisors, mechanical fitters, boilermakers, specialist welders, riggers, scaffolders, concrete workers, blasters, painters, crane operators and mobile plant operators.
Peter founded Giles Group Australia in 2017 after seven years working in the mining and construction industries. A Mechanical Fitter by trade, Peter is passionate about building relationships built on quality and trust. “We’re a tight team and we take pride in what we do. It’s hugely satisfying to deliver solutions that work in the real world.”
Kathryn heads up all things Administrative in our Business. Kathryn brings with her over 18 years of administration experience in both the mining and civil sectors. Included in the private sector was 5 years in a Maintenance Administration role with the Port of Brisbane Corporation which covered Building & Structure Maintenance as well as Small craft & Dredging Operations. “After living the Queensland life for a while, I’m looking forward to being back in country NSW and working alongside Pete to see his Business grow to reach the goals he is aiming to achieve”.
Trent leads the planning and supervision of onsite project works. With his background in the mining industry, carrying out fabrication and construction of steel components, Trent brings extensive experience to the role. Best part of the job? “Seeing our team produce end products to such high standards.”

Before engaging Giles Group Australia, we were having many issues around finding a company that could do high quality work on our machines and all the work we required in one place. We would send jobs to get blasted and painted and they would come back with issues and poor quality workmanship. If the machines needed metal repairs, we would have to float the unit to the fabricator, then to the painters. This led to extra costs and headaches that never seemed to end.
I was personally approached by Peter Giles. At this time Peter talked me through the services Giles Group could provide. To be honest it sounded too good to be true and at the time the company was a start up with not a great deal of rapport so there was originally some hesitation. After some thought we decided to send a machine to Pete and his team. This machine was in need of some mechanical maintenance, a substantial amount of weld repairs and blast and paint.
Working with Pete’s team was a great experience. Any issues were raised with myself quickly. The costs for multiple options were clearly laid out. This made the decisions quick and clear moving forward. I hadn’t experienced this type of service before, it really removed the continuous headaches that I was accustomed to putting up with.
We have been using Giles Group for the past several years now. The time I have saved utilising Pete and his team has been exceptional. As the years past and the relationship and trust grew we committed to sending more and more jobs to Giles Group.
